MediaCom Interaction Germany wins new media award

"Million Voices" named Integrated Campaign of the Year at new media award 2011 in Düsseldorf

MediaCom Interaction's "Million Voices" campaign for Deutsche Telekom has triumphed in the Best Integrated Campaign category at this year's new media award competition. Held in Düsseldorf on 14 April, MediaCom Interaction was rewarded for its collaboration with Tribal DDB and i22.de.

The New Media Award competition, organised by online marketer Interactive Media, is the most prestigious award competition for the digital industry in Germany.

As part of the campaign, Deutsche Telekom, DDB and MediaCom Germany aimed to create the biggest online choir in the world.

Fronted by Thomas D, a famous German music star, the campaign encouraged the whole of Germany to visit an online karaoke site and help record a new version of Neneh Cherry's hit single, Seven Seconds.

After attracting millions of page views and over 11.000 video uploads, the best clips were used in a full-length video for the new commercial.
