MediaCom UK have had a huge success picking up two Agency of the Year awards as well winning other awards in several categories.
At the Media Week Awards 2008, in October, they won Agency of the Year, beating OMD and Carat. This award goes to the agency that 'typifies excellent business practice, shows great media thinking and makes remarkable contributions that raise industry standards'. MediaCom UK also won Gold for GSK Aquafresh The Nurdles in Media Idea Medium category and Gold for Mars in Collaboration, and Silver for Mars Pedigree in Media Idea Large. Dan Whitmarsh was shortlisted in the Rising Star category.
The other Agency of the Year award was won at the annual PPA Awards 2008 in October and was highly commended in the collaboration of the year category for their campaign with Bauer and Royal Marines recruitment.
IPA Effectiveness Awards took place in November and MediaCom UK picked up awards for work on Lucazade Sport and the Met Police.
